First of all, where are you from and what city, state or town are you representing? Richmond, VIRGINIA
What are your measurements? 34B/26/37
Why did you want to become a model? I have always been an artist at heart and I love the self expression involved in modeling.
Who is your greatest influence and what help you to decide that you would love to be a model??? My life and everything in it is created, inspired, and influenced by God. My mother inspires me to be a woman of God. African Models like Iman, Alek Wek, Oluchi Onweagba inspire me to never let anything hinder you...and African American model Naomi Sims inspires me to never compromise your principles. Being a model can be an exciting thing...you become the work of art that you were created to be. I love it!
Tell me about your philsophy in regards to your body and your loving to show it........I believe that God created EVERYONE. Your body is a temple...a beautiful temple. I model to celebrate my temple and that God who lives inside of me and uses me as a vessel. Why should I hide my body? I love to showcase the work of the heavens!
What do you bring to the modeling field or game? I bring life, excitement, a sense of awareness, a pride in my history and my people, a dedication to art moreso than "what sells." I am not the average internet model. I am real and unique. Check out my website and hopefully, you'll see what I mean.
What do you like to do in your free time? I love to write. I also like being in nature...picking fresh fruit from orchards, going hiking, that sort of thing. I like cooking for others. I love to dance (African, hip hop, praise) and sing. I also like to experience new things.
Where is your favorite vacation spot? I don't have one, yet...but I would love to take a pilgrimage to Ghana, West Africa.
What was your first kiss like? My first kiss was awkward...I really didn't know what to expect or what to do...and the person I was with was a little too eager for my taste .
Another question Im sure the fellas will want to know, what are you most likely to wear to the beach? I love two piece swimsuits...bikinis preferred...and if I can get away with it...nothing! To bed? I don't believe in pajamas. To the club, if you go to clubs? I am not a big club person...just not quite my vibe...I much prefer going to poetry slams and readings...and I'd probably wear jeans and a half shirt with a series of bangles and arm bracelets.
What is your most defining feature? My rich, chocolate skin is something I really love...it has taken me time to see the beauty in it living in a society that often places lighter skin on a pedestal...but now that I see the beauty in it, it is something that I love. I also have to say that my locs really define who I am. My locs have their own story and their own glory and most people just love them.
Being as beautiful as you are, you must get alot of attention day to day. How do you deal with all that attention? I try to keep in touch with people who take the time to reach out to me. I appreciate the attention and I want to nurture people with the same attention that they have nurtured me with. I set aside time each day just to do that.
When you model, what settings do you like to do the most? I love my shoots to have music playing in the background, fresh air, juice (preferably mango or cranberry)...and really, that is all I need to have a great time during that shoot. And a professional photographer with integrity and a great creative spirit always helps!!! Those elements really put me at ease to be creative!
In taking photos, what are you most comfortable in? Actually, I am more comfortable nude than anything else...and most of my work is nude. Some may classify me as a glamour model because most of my work is artistic or glamour in style. I think for me it goes back to my philosophy on the body being a temple of God...sometimes it is just unnecessary to adorn God's temple...it is already perfect in its natural state. Sometimes the most beautiful portraits of the human body is when it is captured in its most natural state. For me, as a model doing nude work, I have to be really creative and very careful to create images that stay within the fine line of being art. Some attempts are more successful than others, but the challenge is exciting and I love it. The challenge is to not cross the fine line between the artistic and the pornographic (meaning images with the sole purpose of sexual arousal and no artistic value, purpose, or meaning) and it can be a rewarding experience when you have successfully created nude art. Nevertheless, in clothed shoots, I am comfortable in most anything...especially creative designs. I am going to be in a few runway shows this summer in Virginia and there hasn't been anything that I felt uncomfortable in...I think that is because of the level of comfort I have grown to have in my own skin that affords me the ability to be comfortable no matter what I am wearing.
If you had a choice, what magazine would you be on the cover of? Smooth Magazine, YRB Magazine, The New Nude Magazine, Vogue, Hype Hair
If you had a choice of videos, which one would you be in? A reggaeton banger or a dirty south booty shake video? I would choose the reggaeton because it is much more my style...reggae moreso than anything.
What is your favorite part about being a model? The creativity!
What’s the best advice ever given to you? I have been given so much wisdom from others...but here's what I will leave in this interview...The three most important things you will ever do in this world are the following: Live, Laugh, Love...
What are your goals in terms of being a model? I want to continue modeling for the art and not the industry. I want to have my work known for its artistic appeal and beauty. I want to inspire others to find the wonder in the God, the Artist, that created them and to let that be their guide for living.
